Yep, that’s right. Today, I did my 100th photo shoot and apart from rotten weather, it was great.
I was co-shooting with Genna and a model called “The Big Tease” - a beautiful young lady who enjoys creating pin-up and vintage style images. And she really suits them - lovely curves, gorgeous face and the outfits fit perfectly. Also a great, cheery personality despite nearly freezing and takes direction very well.
She was totally professional, even wandering around a graveyard for shots, or standing barefoot on wet rocks on a rainy, windy Fife beach. I can’t recommend her highly enough and hope that this was the first of many shoots with this fabulous lady.
My images were taken on film but I will be posting some when I get them developed. In the meantime, you can find her here.

So would you believe that this lovely lady had a baby 8 weeks ago? Say hello to the beautiful Sara, a new model. This was her first shoot.
She was a little nervous to start with, but settled into modelling well and managed to get some gorgeous poses when she was just getting comfortable. A total natural, a total beauty and a great personality so great fun too.
I’m looking forward to our next shoot - she’s already working on some ideas for styles and outfits, and even dragging a friend along to get some shots done.
Well, hurry back Sara, you’re always welcome

I met up with a young lady called Kizzy at the weekend for a shoot. She brought along a good selection of outfits to use but we spent much of the first part of the shoot just talking (and a lot of the whole shoot ), getting to know what we wanted out the shoot and getting comfortable with each other’s personality.
It was probably one of the best shoots I’ve had so far - very relaxed, fun and we produced some fabulous 50s-style pin-up images. Apart from the fact that she’s half my age (I feel so old being a photographer ) and she looks absolutely gorgeous with an amazing curvy pin-up figure, we discovered a great chemistry and a lot in common so at the end of the shoot, we came out with some superb images, lots of really good conversations and with a fantastic friendship already.
We have another shoot planned soon and loads of ideas for more after that, so this is going to be a long and fruitful relationship, very creative and a great friendship.
So Kizzy, thanks for a fabulous day and working on the images with me. I look forward to many, many more

OK, you have a beautiful young lady with a very long black and white jumper, thigh-length stockings, a short “bob” wig and some trendy sunglasses. So what do you do?
Simple. You go for some 60s style glamourous photographs. Apply darker lipstick and eye makeup and darker nail varnish. The long jumper becomes a sexy mini-dress, the wig goes on and the beautiful young lady turns into a 60s glamourous fashion starlet. Then push the brightness and contrast and convert to black and white.
So what do you think? Did it work? I think she should be on the cover of a fashion magazine advertising retro-60s glamour.
